Verdant Ventures is a collection of three oneshots for Enigma, a rules-lite pulp adventure roleplaying game. Each is presented as a trifold printable on letter paper, and they contain everything you need to run an action packed session outside of city limits. Each one sports cover art from the 1927 'slick' series of Adventure, with beautiful monochromatic art-deco illustrations from Rockwell Kent.

What's Inside

The three adventures all focus on wilderness, or green, locations. They are structured as easy reference material while running, and allow for lots of expansion and creative interpretation. All you need to run them are the Enigma Quickstart rules, downloadable for free!

Escape From Alphatar

When a power-grabbing professor recites a foul incantation at Stonehenge, he transports The Cast to a subterranean society in the center of the Earth! The Cast must find Dr. Dean, stop him from becoming the Alphatarians' overlord, and get back home in one piece!

A Clear Cut

Your friend, Cash Montgomery, has invited you out for a week of hunting on his property in the Pacific Northwest. Only problem? Cash's house is on fire and he's nowhere to be found. The surrounding forest is torn apart; what sort of beast got to him? Perhaps the new logging operation in town has an idea...

The Cursed Expedition

Researchers from Oxford suddenly returned from an expedition in Peru, experiencing hallucinations and bouts of madness. They all cry of Rimaq Pachari, an evil spirit who's tormenting them after his tomb was opened. It's up to The Cast to return to the expedition's  trail, find the defiled tomb, and put an end to their suffering.
