Paper Trail is a set of rules for playing Enigma solo. Create a character (or two!) and add in some sidekicks, then embark on procedurally generated adventures to take down dastardly villains. You can play for as long as you have time to, and you'll always have an explosive end.

The System

Since Enigma uses player facing dice rolls, gameplay is very similar to a standard session. You as a solo player will fulfill the role of a Director by dealing from a standard deck of playing cards. This creates the Key Locations filled with set pieces, enemies, and clues to other locations. When the time is right, you can enter the Final Showdown and have a chance to take down the Villain.

Gameplay is narratively focused and gives you plenty of power to shape the world as you discover it.
